Where should I go in Bangkok to spot a good shopping mart? I am taking a trip to Bangkok, Thailand in July and wanna do a lot of shopping. I am not interested in the regular shopping malls because I can find that in Italy. Can someone recommend me some markets around Bangkok with a variety of items? Also I just finished watching the travel channel they said Cha-Ma-Ja was the hugest market. Where is this market and am I hearing it right?

Away from the sex and drink scene, what places to visit for respectful travelers in Thailand? My friends are thinking of going to Thailand, but we really want to avoid the whole crazy sex and drinking scene. What places can you recommend , we like traveling around countries etc. Also is it safe in Thailand to travel away from the main tourist parts?
